Multiple Assignment

Car Trouble

Christmas as an Adult

10 comments:

  1. 1. Both of the image meet criteria, nicely done!

    2. In the car troubles photo, the artist is portraying her reactions to as why her car isn't working. I think its nicely put together with all the different seflies doing something different and the facial expressions are put on nicely. In the Christmas photo, the artist is portraying what she'd being doing setting up for Christmas and getting ready for the holidays. I enjoy this one since were getting close to the holidays and its festive. The lighting is nicely portrayed as well.

    3. Nothing seems to grab my attention negatively. Both of the photos don't have anything wrong with them.

    4. My favorite would have to be the car troubles one because I too would make those expressions or hand movements since my car has broken down before and I didn't know how to fix it. I'm sure all of us has some point in time experienced car troubles, not everyone of us knows how to fix cars, so it can be a hassle. I love how you spaced out the images in your photo and each one doing something completely different.

Have a happy Thanksgiving and break (:

  2. aaaaah the frustration of getting the car to work though I have never gone through such problems I would assume that the first image is a very accurate representation of the different emotional states a person would be in. the second image seems somewhat depressing and lonely to me know one around except your self to keep you company on Christmas :( very sad thought good for the project but sad. The image first image the girl with the oil shadow down by her leg seems incomplete to me but other than that the images seem fine. the first image appeals to me more because its humorous to think about. (p.s. what are you standing that is behind the couch.)

  3. 1. Meet the criteria.
    2. I love the idea behind the first one, not only because of car troubles, but kind of funny because she is a girl. No offense please hahah. I love the expressions. Love that you have the tool kit and the oil can out as props. The second one looks like killing time at night after the day is over, random things to do and get done around the house.
    3. No technical issues.
    4. I like the first one better. It looks like there was more thought put behind the idea of what you were trying to portray. Like I said before as well, I really like that you put in props instead of just leaning on the car and making angry faces.

  4. 1. Both of your images meet the criteria for this assignment. Huzzah! And they both show two interesting aspects of your life.

    2. The first image must show your frustrations at your broken car and maybe your confusion as to what to do to fix it. Something we all can relate to!
The second image shows how you experience Christmas as an adult, and it does seem somewhat sad and lonely. As we grow older, it really does feel like there is less magic in the holidays, and I think you did a great job of depicting that!

    3. I can't find any technical problems with your images! The Photoshopping looks good in both of them.

    4. I like the concepts behind both of your images, but I think my favorite has to be "Car Troubles." Your expressions are really good, and they give the figures a greater presence in the image. The variety in the poses also makes for an interesting scene.

  5. 1.Nicely done
    2. I enjoy how frustrated you are in the first one, and laying on the car as if you're waiting for help, because everyone has had at least one car issue that you can't fix alone. The second one has really nice lighting and I like that the entire photo portrays being home, comfortable, and enjoying some free time.
3.No problems that I can spot besides the end of your leg slightly missing on top of the car.
4.The second photo is more successful for me, because it gives you a sense of comfort. I also can relate very much to this one because I love to lay around my house and you standing on the couch to fix the tree automatically reminds me of my mom, struggling to make the tree look as perfect as possible.

  6. 1. Both images meet the criteria perfectly, she had an interesting way of representing the project and plays a fun side in the execution of the self portrait.
    2. Car trouble represents the feelings that we all have when we have troubles with our car and is very relatable. Christmas as an adult shows the difference of celebrating the holidays as a child and an adult, also a fun and creative way of representing a relatable experience.
    3. Both images seem technically sound and well constructed.
    4. I think the car trouble is the most successful, it shows the viewers a fun relatable experience that most have to go through. It was well constructed and thought out.

  7. 1. Both images meet the criteria of the assignment.
    2. The first image seems to depict the stress of not understanding why her car won't start. The second image I believe portrays waiting for christmas day by distracting yourself.
    3. I'm not sure if she may be wearing missed colored socks in the second image but it looks like one of her feet didn't fully come through.
    4. The first image I think seems to be the most successful and I enjoy how it seems to have both the anxiety of not having her car start and a classic pin up style feel.

  8. 1)Both images meet the criteria
    2) In the first photo is my first car the no longer runs, The reason it no longer runs is because my dad has lost all his tools.. so its frustrating to see my first baby sit in a garage!
    3) In my 2nd photo I was trying to show how christmas as an adult is no longer as exciting and fun as it use to be.. Its just a comforting time of the year to laying around and do nothing! (p.s. I was wearing two different colored socks.. Ones blue and ones purple.)
    4) I do feel like my first photo is better.. I was having a really difficult time coming up with something for the christmas photo.. I had a little help ;)

  9. 1) The images meet the criteria or fulfill the assignment.

    2) "Car Trouble" pretty much speaks for itself and shows the frustration that comes with car troubles. "Christmas as an Adult" shows how adults deal with Christmas. It also makes me think of how as we get older we start to realize that the world isn't as wonderful as we thought it was and we become indifferent to it.

    3) In "Car Trouble," the figure's leg on top of the car starts to fade out. It might help to also put a slight gradient on the far right so that the blinding light isn't so distracting.

    4) I'm having a hard time deciding actually. They are both really interesting. I love the color, lighting, figures, etc.

  10. 1. Meets criteria.

    2. The titles definitely speak for the images, which isn't always a good thing I don't think. But they are both good images regardless.

    3. I don't see any technical problems with either images.

    4. Christmas as an adult is my favorite, probably because it is relatable. Decorating the christmas tree with a beer in hand is the definition of a young adult. Both are great images, love the colors and lighting, great placement, I just have to like the christmas one more because I've totally been there.
